As you work your way through the learning programme you will gain competence against the following Unit Standards:

INTRODUCTION

Imsimbi training wants to build an adult learning environment where learners actively participate. Through this process, learners develop self-confidence and begin to appreciate their own potential. Self-awareness is the foundation for better relationships with others and the development of effective teams. You will be introduced to resources that will:

· Help you transform the way you manage yourself

· Help improve your relations with others in the work place

The way you manage yourself and the way .you relate to others is key to improved team work and high performance. We will encourage learners to work in teams on this program in order to create an optimal learning environment. Learners will be offered the opportunity to:

· Reflect on and share ideas

· Practice effective communication skills

· Practice leadership by solving problems and working on case studies

· Empower and support each other during and after the course

The working teams you develop in this module will remain intact for the duration of the Management Development Programme. They will hopefully enable you to support each other in the completion of your Portfolios of Evidence and ultimately achieve a competence rating for the entire programme.
